my advice is to make iron platebodies until you get to 48. Sell them in the general store. You won't make masses of money, but in f2p you haven't much choice.

What i do is look around in smithing forums for companies that trade coal, iron, and usually a little pay for the equivalent number of bars. Usually something like 1k iron, 2k coal, and 50-100k gp for 1k steel bars. Its the best and least painful exp i know, plus u make a decent profit. Only downside is you have to get the starting materials yourself.

Life is a joke. Yeah, I don't get it either.
