What are you using to record mate? Hardware wise...you're missing a lot of the dry signal from the vocals by the sounds of things, got some kind of bandpass/convultion going on in there, ruins it a bit.

a logitech mic(with audacity) as my friend who has a studio lives like 50 miles away and my mom won't drive to new orleans from here...I'm not the best producer so I have no clue what you just told me lol :\ Maybe it's cause I stacked/layered my voice(well aware I screwed up on the hook when saying "heart" I'll tweak that later) If you have any advice just pm me or if you have aim/msn pm that to me.

Nah mate it'll be the logitech mic causing it. Can you not get the train to new orleans or something? It'll be worth it :)

only way to get to new orleans is via the causeway(30 mile bridge), well it's the only one I know and my mom doesnt let me drive with other people she dont know which is beyond idiotic imo. Once school starts though he's moving EVERYTHING to the north shore(where I live) or he might just buy equipment to start another studio if his debut album can sell enough.
