xplod33
My dad bought a new server a while back, IBM xSeries 360 with an intel Xeon processor, then he bought WIndows 2003 for Server and while reading the system requirements we came across Console Redierction I went through most search engines etc etc and couldn't figure out what is was...though one site said it was only on Dell servers I need to know what it is, and what it does, and wether that one site was wrong or not please post if you know, thanks
Cruiser
http://technet2.microsoft.com/windowsserver/en/library/7ea7180d-6ea3-48dc-8b64-8b53884b11d01033.mspx?mfr=true Looks like it's just a second way to remotely manage the server when a network connection isn't available and there's no local keyboard/mouse/screen plugged into it. The page above also says it isn't enabled by default, so hardware that doesn't support it shouldn't be a problem.
Aznhuskarl
I think you're looking for the series of Console utilities related for the console redirection if you want to clarify the previous poster's EMS. The link is here: http://windows.ittoolbox.com/pub/MS081403.pdf -=Aznhuskarl=- Cleric-=20Cent=- JuggernaughtMore to come...
