Hey,

 

 

 

Well, i've currently killed 211 mithril dragons with no luck, however i've found one drop particularly interesting. The ancient page. I've currently had 5 of these yet my notes still aren't complete. I was wondering if anyone else has completed much of this, and whats the reward for doing so? I find it quite interesting :ohnoes:

 

 

 

 

 

On a further note, the bestiary needs updating to say that whilst using ruby bolts when the special effect takes place some damage is recoiled, I submitted this yesterday but it either hasn't been checked yet or hasn't been taken seriously :$

 

 

 

(The rune baxe drop seems to be around 1/10 or 1/11, i've had 19 from 211 kills)

Chance of losing 10% of your Hitpoints to remove 20% of your opponent's Hitpoints. Does not work if you can't spare the Hitpoints.

Ah yea, dont i feel stupid :s Guess i should have checked that up first. Just so many people use ruby bolts, to me it seems expensive waste :o

Their isnt any reward for completing the book and there are 26 pages to it. If i can find the full list on rs forums ill edit it in later.

A momentary flash but I saw it! Hornless but the same deep crimson of it's set-mates. A glorious thing to see, guarded by the creatures in the upper galleries. I must have it I will have it

 

 

 

And as the door consumed me, I saw not the haunting blue of mithril as I had seen before, but a blinding green. I turned and slammed the door we are not ready for the secrets within(not confirmed page)

My investigations show that water temperature in the Baxtorian Falls area are substantially higher than might be expected given the local climate. The source of this heat will now be the focus of my studies.

 

 

 

Our best guess is that some sort of heat generation process is occuring in the tunnels we have scryed, though the denizens are proving quite a hinderance to our free travels. Research was never this dangerous

 

 

 

Our theory of artificial origins have been vindicated! We have discovered a sturdy door which seems to be a similar age to the original excavations. I am sure that there is magical or mechanical theory behind it, though it may simply be a great rush of water

The Baxtorian falls are well worth investigating, in my opinion, snce water leaves the lake above this area yet none appears to flow into it. What could be the source of this quantity of water?

 

 

 

The combination of each of these prime ingredients will result in a fine pie hieghtening the reactions of the lucky fellow who eats it. sadly most demand in my establishment is frrom scruffy fellows who make the place look untidy

 

 

 

The door resists all of our efforts to penetrate it, even the fishing explosives which derril suggested were tried with no success. there must be some way through which is linked to magic, though perhaps all who know the secret are now long dead

Hmm, that doesn't seem to make much sense :o I've yet to see this door, or is it refering to the whirlpool? It can't be surely.

 

 

 

Does anyone know if this means anything yet in the game, can you get through this mithril door or is it a future update do you think ? :s

Ya there's already a thread about trying to collect all the ancient pages.

 

Have no idea what it means though lol.

 

 

 

And ya from my expirience Rune B axes are VERY commen as I've only killed about 30ish dragons and I've gotten a whopping 8 Rune b axes.

Oh and btw...You can also get ancient pages by searching the corpses all over the dungeon.
