It may be worth noting in the guide you get 1 exp point for every 10 resources you help your workers obtain. (or 0.1 exp per resource)

 

 

 

I.e. Cut 10 maples you get 1 woodcut exp

 

i.e. Mine 10 coal you get 1 mining exp
