There are 3,230 tutorials, and you're telling me there isn't anything good? I learned photoshop off of that site. I'm not very good, but that's another issue. If you follow tutorials, you will learn the basics, what they do, how to do it... It helps, even if it isn't what you want. You won't be pumping out perfect sigs after 1 tutorial.

I've been making sigs for about 2 weeks now and i learnt everything i know from that site - Check out my site in my sig to see my portfolio of sigs :D

Just keep on playing around with photoshop and you will get it. Practice is what helps you get better.
