Account banned when stolen, What should I do?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I had/have an account called 'jade evans' it was level 95. I stopped playing almost 1 year ago because I had A level exams and rs was taking up all my time like it does when your addicted. Anyway on monday 23rd July, I decided to start playing again, cos all my exams were finished. I couldnt sign on, it said my account had been disabled. I thought it was cos i hadnt been on for a year, it turns out it had been banned and had 17! black marks. Id never broke any rules on rs so I knew some1 had stolen my account.

There were 2 appealable offences, so I tried to explain the situation, but the appeals were denied. I have a last chance appeal and I dont know what to do, I dont want to lose my account, I put so much hard work into it. I was thinking of asking if they could look at the Ip addresses or something. And there were appeals made by the people who stole my account around april-may. I read them and it was so obvious they were about 10 years old or somthing because the appeals were stupid.

Surely the staff at rs can see that I was not in control of the account at this time.

What should I do?!?! Please help! (and sorry about the long email)

Thanks

Jade

A very similar situation happened to me. I leveled an accout named skiwee that I opened back in '01. I leveled quite a bit and had very good stats before I graduated high school in '03. It was at that time that I quit runescape in order to go to college. I had never given my account imformation to anyone nor my recovery questions yet when I had free time I was going to start playing RS again. To my surprise I tried to log in and my password did not work. I then logged into my alt and saw that my account was logged in. I PM him asking about the situation and screen shot him telling me he took it. I have since tried several times to recovery the password using details only I would know, only to find out that the accout has been banned. I have screen shots of the guy telling me he took my account and yet Jagex will not give me my account back (or at least the name, that is all I care about) I hope that does not discourage you but I doubt you can do anything about it. I started a new accout :(

when santas were like 700k and blue phats were like 3m, i had maybe 70 mining and fishing, then i was thinking about going back to rs cause i kinda forgot the pass *which always happens sadly..* so when i remembered it said that my account was never registered :(* so i had to start all over from SCRATCH :P but now i have a pretty decent account :) 5years old..well technically 4 but once halloween ends, my 5th year anniversary

You are not alone, Our Father, God will always be with you.

that happened to my friend and his final appeal got denied and right after that they said "we think ALL our members deserve a second chance, BUT if you do break a rule you WILL get banned" so...tell them to check the IP address that's my only suggestion, it can be alot of help :\

If you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.
