I was just wondering how people like this style

Did you draw it in crayon, then scan it?

I only used phototshop to make this

Nice work on the people although the background could use somework...

I often have this problem myself, so I will point it out for ya...you are making your brushes too soft.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

It makes it fuzzy. Try working at higher resolutions then reducing, and use a slightly harder brush. Eventually you get used to it.
