August 7, 200718 yr Ok so I'm farming in the spot north of ardy. I wanna get 25 farming for Garden of Tranquility quest and I want to know what I have to pay the farmer if I want him to watch my plants for me. If I grow cabbages, tomatoes and sweetcorn, what do I have to give him? August 7, 200718 yr Tip.it's Farming Guide lists what the farmers will ask as a payment for each crop. This signature is intentionally left blank.
August 7, 200718 yr if you grow sweetcorn and plan on growing alot dont pay him, instead plant a scarecrow in the midle. This is guaranteed to protect your sweetcorn Also I think tomatoes have a flower with the same protection system but im not sure check in the farming guide meol linked to =) Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.
August 7, 200718 yr Hello, :) You will need fully grown marigolds in your flower patch to protect both potatoes and tomatoes. Do not grow sweetcorn in arddy north, they can't be carried in sacks, so it's a lot better to grow them in catherby (much closer for banking). Stock up on raw sweetcorn to pay the gardener to watch after your apple trees. Greetings, Zou Lou. Retired from RuinedScape 12/15/07. August 8, 200718 yr Author how do i get marigolds??? Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers.
August 8, 200718 yr Grow them in the flower spot with marigold seeds. However, they have to be fully grown in order to protect your crops, so, if you want them for protection and not exp, plant them first and wait until they grow, then plant your allotment and don't pick the flowers. August 8, 200718 yr Author so if a flower patch has fully grown marigolds, it protects the allotment plants and i dont have to put them in the allotments?? this is confusing :? Not all F2Pers are beggars or scammers, some are respected members, but these respected people are over-populated by these beggar and scammers.
August 8, 200718 yr OK, I'll try to explain this as best as I can. Plants grown in cycles, and they have a chance to get diseased each time there is a 'tick' (cycle change, where the plants grow), (unless you pay a farmer to look after them or there is a specific flower protecting them). If they get diseased and you don't heal them with plant cure, your crops will die after the next 'tick'. Compost and supercompost reduce the chances of a plant getting diseased, and they increment the harvest once they grow. Once a plant has finished growing, it won't get diseased or die, it'll just stay there waiting for you to harvest them. In the 4 big patches around the world, there are two allotment patches, a flower patch and a herb patch. Some special things planted in the flower patches will protect the growing plants in the allotments (not the herb patches). Marigold protects onions, tomatoes and potatoes. Rosemary protects cabbages. Scarecrows protect sweetcorn; and Nasturtiums protect watermelons. However, the flower will only protect the allotment after it has grown to its last stage (the flower itself can become diseased and die before). So, if you want the flowers for protection, and not for experience, you should plant your flowers first, wait until they are fully grown, and then plant in the allotments, always avoiding to "pick" the flowers. Hope this helps! This signature is intentionally left blank.
