I am a relative novice at Slayer (53 atm), and I currently use Lost City to get all my tasks. I have been getting a lot of trolls, and blue dragon tasks, and slayer dungeon tasks but have never had a tower task or Dagg tasks.

 

 

 

My question is this: Do I have to unlock areas prior to getting a specific task (i.e. Lighthouse (not sure if I have started the quest or not!), and I have never been to the Slayer tower before (Do I need to go there in order to get a task there?)

Im not 100% sure, but logically, Id say yes. Theres no way (I think) you can kill dags outside the lighthouse, so you'd have to do Horror From The Deep to get down there.

 

 

 

To check, go to your quest list. If it's green, youve done it, yellow means you started or arent finished.

There are dagganoths located inside the Waterbirth Island dugeon, but they are lvl 90 something and alot stronger, so I suggest killing the lighthouse ones.

 

For the slayer tower, check if you have done Priest in Peril quest, if not then you might not get those tasks in the tower.

One of my firsts tasks were Crawling Hands, although I had never been to the Tower. Maybe it's different with Dagannoths, though.

I have completed Priest in Peril and have started (but not finished) Horror from the Deep.

Then I think you're just having a streak of non-tower tasks....
