Battery undetected on my Toshiba M300 Laptop.

Featured Replies

All of a sudden my laptop is not detecting the battery. There is a light with a battery icon which should usually be lit up but is isnt now. And when I check the power setting it says that the battery remaining is N/A (as it thinks there is no battery)

When I unplug my laptop from the AC power the laptop still stays on so surely the battery is working but isnt being detected. Also when I unplug it from AC power the laptop still thinks it is using AC power. Hope anyone can help & solve this issue as my laptop is very important for me to use around the house and at school using the battery.

My laptop will not come on from standby/hibernate or being turned off when there is no AC cord plugged in. I've uploaded some images in hope someone can solve my issue. Thanks.

When I took this picture, the AC adapter was not plugged in so technically my laptop should be running on its battery but it wont detect it for some reason:
