Does this account need to move on and train on tougher thing

Featured Replies

I posted a week or 2 agao when I was getting my F2p account in the str, att, and def building.

I was (2 weeks ago) 72 combat, 63 att, 57 str, 52 def.

Now the combat lvl is 84- att is 70, str is 74 and def is 57 and rising (gonna get it to 60)

I have been in SoS on the fleshies and zombies....when I get 60 def should I move on or keep training on the fleshies etc.?

Thinking about turning member and doing the rest of the quests I lack?

Thanks

Well, I hate to answer a question with another question, but...

What do you think/hope to gain by "moving on"?

You earn melee exp as HitDone*4

The level of the killed monster doesn't matter.

So, the fastest training happens when you can be hitting "constantly"

with very little downtime for food, loot, or bank runs.

So, if you can do that now with FC and Z's then

it sounds like you are in a great training spot.

You could move a bit deeper if you are 1 hitting the monsters but otherwise,

IMHO, the only reason to "move on" is if you want better loot or big bones.

Thinking about turning member and doing the rest of the quests I lack?

Why wait?

Everything is better in members...

Hope this helps

^^ I agree with the guy above me in most cases, but in the area of get members now I have to disagree, I'm betting you've been lvling your non-member skills and saving your $$ right? well if this is the case make sure most if not all of your skills are 50+ cause that'll help alot in members! gl!

finally back in the game! send me a message, all my old friends quit

I laughed so hard I pooped my thong.

I guess I want to build on my str, att, def ...but also would like to have more in the bank eventually than my 200k.....

I guess I should go member when my def hits 60 hopefully tonight or tomorrow.

I loved slayer tasks with my other accounts and found it was a great way to build levels. Should I stay away from fighting the controlled method as I get higher in stats?

Did this with other account and as you know lvls came slow but were balanced.

Thanks

So, you want monsters that will allow "fast" training and have some decent drops?

If you stay F2P for awhile then you could try the Crandor Island Moss giants.

I suggest that you split your time between fast training and mining.

Spend an hour doing each. 5 full loads of iron ore can earn you about 14000 gp

Members have far more, better training options available.

That partly depends on what weapon you are using.

Some weapons are better in the slash, or stab, or crush style.

The rune scimmy controlled style is "stab" which is, IIRC,

weaker than it's slash style.

So, I suggest using a weapon in it's strongest style.

Well if you raised attack first and used a STR potion with a diamond or ruby ammy

then you would be "hitting more and hitting higher" than it you leveled evenly.

But, it you are training on easy monsters anyway than it probably won't matter much anyway.

Hope this helps

Thanks Goobore you always give sound advice, I think I might need a bit more training some of my f2p skills b4 going member.

As thargor01 mentioned I might need to get f2p skills up to lvl 50....most of the free skills are around 50.

mining 58

smith and fish - 50

cook-52

craft-58

magic-55

prayer-48

woodcut-63

firemake- 51

The ones that are low or lower than the others

Range-44

runecrafting-3

I figure the range needs to be a lot higher....so where is the fastest xp in f2p for range? I have several iron and steel arrows (around 3k)

If there is something that I should work on (skill) that I am missing please point it out.

Thanks Again

I'm not sure I understand why you link training F2P skills with getting members.

The member worlds automatically include the F2P part as well as the P2P part.

Of course, members can use F2P worlds as well.

So, unless you really can't afford the $5 (or so) for a membership,

you should, IMHO, go ahead and get members now.

Most ranging is done from a safe spot.

So, you can usually go after a higher level monster since they have the higher hitpoints.

I usually use the Crandor Island lessers since I can usually get them to myself.

Otherwise, try the minotaurs in the SoS.

There is a safe spot that you can use and they drop a lot of arrows as loot.

If you pick up your arrows, those 3k Iron/Steel arrows can get you to level 58.

If there is something that I should work on (skill) that I am missing please point it out.

Well, it really depends on your playstyle and goals.

My own goals were to become F2P competent in every skill.

That meant rasing every skill until I could do everything in that skill that

a free player was allowed to do. (BTW, I'm at 14 out of 15)

But, really, play your character the way that pleases you.

Hope this helps
