~~Murds guide to The path of Glouphrie~~

Haven't seen a guide on this Quest yet so I decided to make one.

 

 

 

Quests:

 

-The Eyes of Glouphrie

 

-Waterfall

 

 

Skills needed:

 

- 45 Agility

 

- 47 Range

 

- 60 Strength

 

- 56 slayer

 

- 56 thieving

 

 

 

Items needed:

 

A crossbow

 

Mithril grapple (with the rope)

 

A sextant

 

A watch

 

A chart

 

Crystal saw or A small seed from The Eyes of Glouphrie quest.

 

 

 

Suggested:

 

Good melee protect armer with range protection prayer.

 

(It is possible to do it without the prayer but why take the chance?)

 

A super set

 

A prayer restore potion.

 

Good food (I would recommend monks or above).

 

 

 

Start:

 

 

 

Items needed:

None.

 

 

 

Speak to King Bolren at the tree gnome village right by the spirit tree there..

 

 

 

After the conversation you find out that the "cute creatures" have come to visit the Tree Gnome village.

 

 

 

Anit-illusion machine

 

 

 

So you have to find the anti-allusion machine and also talk to someone who collects elven artifacts in the tree gnome village.

 

 

 

So you need to go talk to Glorie in the dungeon beneath the tree gnome village.

 

 

 

Once in the dungeon take the western path to find Glorie. Ask about the elven artifacts and Glorie will tell you to investigate his storeroom located on the eastern side of the dungeon.

 

 

 

Go in the storeroom and push the monolith so it moves north. After doing so search all the crates and chest to get some crystal pieces (like the ones in eyes of Glouphrie) and "A key to a chest", also push any monoliths that you have to. Once you have the key and some crystal pieces. Open the (golden?) chest in the middle of the room and you will receive a Strongroom key.

 

 

 

Once you have a strongroom key go to the metal gate on the north western side of the cave and go in.

 

 

 

Once in there (i hope you got the crystal discs) operate Yewnock's machine. You should get a window like Oaknock's but instead of a number you will get a shape in the spot that the one shape has to add up to.

 

 

 

If you forget how to do this (like me) refer back to the Eyes of Glouphrie chart) in tip.it guide. Once you have turned the machine on go back and talk to the king.

 

 

 

He will tell you to kill the creature. Do so and talk to him again. He will then tell you to find the explorer looking for Glouphrie (and the edge of the world). The king will also tell you to go talk to Aluft Gianne jr. at the gnome stronghold.

 

 

 

Go talk to him and he will give you coordiantes to look for longramble.

 

 

 

Finding Longramble

 

 

 

Items needed:

 

Mithral Grapple (with rope)

 

Crossbow

 

 

 

Items suggested:

 

ring of dueling.

 

 

 

Once you are done talking with gianne jr. make a trip to the bank south of there. Grab a mithril grapple and a crossbow. A ring of dueling if you have one or just use spirit tree tele to tree village get Elkoy to show you the way out, and run over to cw arena, but don't go in.

 

 

 

Once you have done so weiled your crossbow and go out of the arena go south and then head west until you a tree that you can grapple (on the northern side of the land). Once you see the tree grapple the tree and cross the (river?) water and find Longramble walking around there. Talk to him and you will get an insight on the poisonous waste there. Go north and you will start getting messages on your screen.

 

 

 

Talk to the spirit tree and you will find out that it is not well and then Hazelmere pops in on the conversation and tells you that you must help the tree and ofcourse you (like a good adventurer) agree to help.

 

 

 

I am unsure if this part is necesary or not but i did it so i will need some confirmation on this. After the conversation is over talk to the tree again and hazelemere tells you how to help him (sort of).

 

 

 

Saving the tree

 

 

 

Items needed:

 

crystal saw OR

 

a small seed.

 

 

 

Items suggested:

 

ring of dueling

 

 

 

After you talk to Hazelmere through the tree again. go to the tree gnome dungeon with your crystal saw or a small seed and go back to the storeroom and try to access the singing bowl.

 

 

 

If you have a small seed then skip this part. After you have reached the singing bowl use the "revert to seed" option on the bowl and your crystal saw should turn back into a small seed.

 

 

 

when or if you have the seed use the seed on the singing bowl and it should turn into a crystal chime.

 

 

 

After you have the crystal chimes go back to the unwell spirit tree and you can use the chime on him to make him better. Congratulations you can use the tree to teleport around.

 

 

 

The maze

 

 

 

Be careful even though the turtles aren't aggressive the terrorbirds are.

 

- in the sewer entrance find a ladder on the northern wall of the area. go up it.

 

-then head east and open the gate and go through

 

-keep going east until you find a ladder going down.

 

then head north and go up the ladder.

 

-now head west until you come to a another gate open it go through and head down the ladder

 

-then head east and go up the ladder and then run north and around pool of waste in the middle of the room and keep going north until yer in a room with 4 doors (north, south, east, west)

 

 

 

The final fight

 

 

 

Items needed:

 

Crystal chimes

 

 

 

items suggested:

 

Good melee protection armer with missile protection prayer.

 

Good food (stated above)

 

Super set

 

Prayer restore potions

 

 

 

After you have cured the tree use it to go the gnome stronghold and bank to get some food and armer of your choice and a weapon and some pots if you want.

 

 

 

I personally didn't find the fight too difficult because the I did the birds one at a time because I guess I got lucky and two of the terrorbirds got stuck behind the pillars in the room. So I did them 1 at a time and it worked really well. When i tried 3 on 1 it didn't go so well :S. You have to kill 3 143 at the same time when they are attacking you so it is difficult.

 

 

 

DO NOT forget your crystal chimes. If you do forget the chime you might as well be going on a suicide mission, because without the crystal chimes you cannot kill the warped animals. so once you think you are ready for the fight enter the room with the three lvl 143 warpedterrorbirds.

 

 

 

Please dont take anything into the final fight that you arent willing to lose.

 

it is especially difficult because you cannot teleport out of the area. as soon as you are running low on food run out of the room and walk out of the gateway and teleport to get some more food.

 

 

 

When fighting them birds remember to focus on one at a time and keep using the crystal chimes on the birds whenever needed. You will need to use them on the birds roughly after 30 seconds.

 

 

 

The finish

 

 

 

Don't leave the room after you have finished killing the birds. "peek hatch door" on the eastern side of the room.

 

 

 

Don't worry you get hit for about 21 dmg so i would suggest keeping your hp high. After you see the cutscene where the terrorbird presses the red button reamin in the the room and help shall soon arrive.

 

 

 

Get through the final conversation with hazalemere and tah-da you are done.

 

 

 

Rewards:

 

-5000 magic experience

 

-30,000 strength experience

 

-20,000 slayer experience.

 

-5000 thieving experience

 

-access to the new slayer dungeon

 

-and 1 quest point.

warped turtles and warper terrorbirds. they require the use of chimes in order to kill them.
