To train my herblore, would it be a good idea to buy defence or strength potions from the Warriors Guild, fish caviar/roe, and then use them on the potions to get good experience?

strength pots would be the best. It wouldn't be amazing exp per hour, but you can sell the vials for a bit of cash after you empty them. Use strength pots, as defense pots cost 100+gp ea, and need caviar.
