nova15
Hey guys just wanted to know since I'm not a member no more =( I've herd that merchanting is not so great for making cash in f2p so i decided to base my money making on skills, such as mining. Do you think this is a good idea? Runite ores are currently 13k-13.5k maybe less not sure... so if 50 runite ores would be 650k-675k thats a great amount of money but problem is who buys? forums maybe? thats why I'm not sure to proceed leveling my mining to 85 :ohnoes:

Goobore
Hey guys just wanted to know since I'm not a member no more =( I've herd that merchanting is not so great for making cash in f2p so i decided to base my money making on skills, such as mining. Do you think this is a good idea? Yes, for F2P. You can start making money at mining level 15 when you can mine iron. You can, eventually, include coal, mith, addy, and runite ore. Even silver and gold if you can find a crafter. Runite ores are currently 13k-13.5k maybe less not sure... so if 50 runite ores would be 650k-675k thats a great amount of money Yes, but the problem with F2P runite ore mining is that, most times, the 2 F2P runite rocks are empty. There are a lot of players that are after those 2 rocks. And, you have to be prepared to deal with the PKers that would like to steal your ore. Btw, the respawn time for the runite ore is 1386-#Players/3 seconds ...but problem is who buys? forums maybe? Use the Tip It mining/smithing marketplace forums. You will find buyers there. thats why I'm not sure to proceed leveling my mining to 85 :ohnoes: I got to 85 using the 3 iron rocks on the NW wall of the Al-Kharid mine. Hope this helps

Goobore
:ohnoes: oh dear i have 1 def =\ 72hp though... So? You can always 3 item runite ore mining. That way the PKers will never get your ore. Or just use a scout to check the area first...
N0thing_R34l
Hmm.. I think youll be fine. Tip: Mine at AK mining spot, with 3 ores. Mine at all 3 stones, then drop the ores, and mine 3 - also known as powermining - NOTE: Dont mine a full back and then drop it all, this takes to much time. Always mine in crowed worlds.
