Hi all - recently bought myself a new phone with mp3 ringtones for a change.

 

 

 

I haven't bought myself a memory card for it yet so I'm limited memory wise so I wanted to cut some of my favourite mp3 tracks down to 30 secondish samples so I can put more on there.

 

 

 

I tried a google search and most were either professional (and thus expensive) or free and flagged red by siteadvisor. So I was hoping someone can provide me a safe and free piece of software to use. As simple as possible please!

er... didnt you get nero with your PC? most computers come packaged with that and it has an mp3 editor.

 

 

 

other than that.. i dunno

In the past, I've used audacity (SourceForge)

 

 

 

I'm not too sure if it will convert your files, but you can clip them, and do stuff like that.

Try Wavepad. It's perfect for what you need, contains no spyware (that I'm aware of), and works nicely.
