First off, if you read part of my guide, post a reply of constructive critisim, and/or a rating. The wilderness is a large unpredictable place. Do not take items you do not mind losing into it. And if you have a whip, dont fall for the alt+f4 trick (it closes your browser) or the 4 dragon b axe trick (loses your whip )

Green Dragons!

 

The best monster to kill for prayer experience, and my personal favourite monster to kill of all time.

-3k each kill!

-2,232 crafting xp a run (making bodies- 744 xp a run if making vambraces, 1,680 if making chaps)

 

-3,456 prayer xp a run (if using ectofungus)

 

- 4,788 xp given overall each trip to combat-related stats.

 

 

 

 

 

CONS

 

-Only found in wilderness- only ONE green dragon area found under lvl 20 wilderness.

 

-Green dragons are PRIME PKING SPOTS. Never go there if skulled.

 

-Home of the infamous "green dragon autoers". Pking these guys can be fun, but dangerous. Often people will pk you thinking you are a autoer. refer to later in the guide for info on how to prevent this.[/hide]

First off, green dragons are weak to stab attacks and range attacks. If you wish for a guide to ranging them, however, leave now. Untill i get 75 range or someone with 75+ volunteers to make that part of the guide, there will be no ranging green drags.

 

 

 

Now, heres what i wear to a normal green dragon trip.

 

 

 

 

Things never to forget- ring of life, dragon fire shield, armour, weapon, food, teleport. basically everything, lol.

First method: Barb. Fishing

 

This was actually brought to my attention by a macroer :shock:

 

here it is: instead of using lobbies, which cost 200 gp or so ea, use trout & salmon instead.

 

Trout heals 7 whilst salmon heals 9. you could also use pike which heals 8, or even rainbow fish which heals 11. and instead of lobbies, you could fish bass, which heals an extra 1 hp point. This method is great for doing green dragons immediatly instead of sitting in a bank or fishing.

 

 

 

heres the route your take.

 

edgy bank->barb fishing spot -> evil dave's mom's house -> pit 'o death (lvl 13 wildy)

 

 

 

 

sorry if it's a bit confusing.

 

 

 

Heres the next one:

 

 

 

Warning! you need GOOD FOOD for this. I'd say sharkies, or tuna potatoes, or monkfish. AT LEAST.

 

okay, heres what you do. Replace the feathers and rod for extra food.

 

Now, if you want MAD prayer xp, heres what to do. bring a ectophial in your inventory, along with 8 pots, 8 buckets and the rest good food. Now, you need to kill 8 green dragons, picking up only bones. the other food you can use if your hp starts falling. now make sure you have ok hp, then teleport to ectofungus. you probably saw this coming. now grind the bones, get some slime, and worship the ectofungus. TIP: you can worship the ecto fungus super fast! click it 8 times rapidly!

 

once you've done that, get you ecto tokens from the priest, buy some undead chickens (leave enough to get into the city with if you havent done quest) now go to the bank, restock, tele edgy/ barb village/ varrock, then go again. This is even better than getting 24 bones and burying them normally.[/hide]

[hide=PKERS/Where to kill green drags]OK, well first off, many people will pk you because they think you are a macroer If they ever say "talk and u live" TALK

 

43+ prayer reccomended. If you have low prayer, but high enough combat to kill green dragons, I suggest reading a certain guide that I will have a link to shortly.

 

Oh, and always keep your hp above at least 36! 36 is probably about as hard as ice barrage is going to hit. If you suddenly get the message "you cannot move" and cant see who attacked you, EAT! or if your hp is above 36, TELEPORT!

 

Heres all the places.

 

-far west, lvl 13 wildy A.K.A. "the pit of death" It is the only place where you can teleport out immediently. getting attacked can be nerve wracking :ohnoes: . All you have to do is stay calm. First step: teleport.

 

if youre teleblocked, turn on prayer protect from magic, take off armour (unless they have dds and are right behind you) and RUN.

 

 

 

 

 

-If you must choose a place over lvl 20 wildy, or you find the pit o' death too crowded, you can go here to the Graveyard. It has tons of green drags, so you will never have to wait for only 1 to respawn. This is a great spot for mage short bow rangers too, as there are tons o' trees. This is a pking hot spot! if you ever see someone with toast in their name, say hi toast! and he wont pk you ;) If someone uses anchient magicks, then turn pray mage on but dont take off armour, as they are probably mage/melee hybrids.

 

run south, run through trees, try to get them caught on a fence, and dont forget to say stuff like "ow". or quick stuff thats easy to type.

 

 

 

 

 

-for my next spot, your inventory changes. this, I am afraid, is the best place to do the ectophial runs, however it is bad for anything else. alternatively to the route shown on the map below, you could also chop a canoe (must be waka), walk east, kill some dragons, head to teleporter, teleport around untill you are in 20- wildy, then you can use the ectophial.

 

 

 

-the last spot is dangerous, but not too dangerous. It is around 20 wilderness, I classify it as a 20 and up zone, though you may think differently. Theres usually a team of some sort set up there, though if there isnt, this becomes one of the best places ever. It has 4 dragons (1 more than the pit of death) and 1/3 the crowd of the pit of death. The only problem is it edges a little into lvl 21 wildy, and the fact that the walk is REALLY long. It'd be shorter just to walk from varrok. If someone teleblocks you, turn on pray mage and RUN. run south west, as there are bunches of trees there. this may take a little practice to master but will work eventually.

Tips:

 

Wear quest items. Macros usually wear rune chains, so wear a rune plate or granite plate. skill capes are also good. Macroers usually have around 60 combat, so get combat up. Just act like a normal player- thats a good start. Also have other skills on the high scores. Often people will assume you are macroing just by looking at you. If someone walks up to you, say hi.

Take a full inventory, then find out about how many are needed with out it being "eat to make space"

Nope, not unless its a guide that has died and is on page 15, or 20 or something. I did searches, read all different green dragon guides I could, and even looked for other dragon killers doing the same thing. Havent seen anyone else- except for that one macroer. THANK YOU MACROER.
