My pet peeve, I just learned I had. Two, actually. I was at Grand Exchange, getting ready to go on a slayer mission. I was ranging, since I want to get my range level up. Which, make that three. Im not quite able to wear black d'hide, but thanks to ruby bolts and such I have no problem hitting 40+'s on the kbd, so when I go there with friends, I must get half a dozen "nice red dragonhide. noob" 's. Anyway, back on topic. This random noob is running around telling everyone "I got laid! I got laid!" This might be the saddest person in the world. Not only was she (yes, she) bothering tons of people, following them, telling them, and generally being annoying, but she gets laid (at 17) and her first response is to go on runescape and tell everyone at the grand exchange. Come on. I got laid at 16, but I didn't brag about it... much less on runescape. Before you read this next part, whatever beliefs you have about God are your own personal beliefs and I respect that ;D After a long, healthy conversation about how she should shut up, maybe text some friends instead? Or leave us alone? She says she lives in Utah (Note: I'm not a stalker, she brought all this up) I asked if she was Mormon. She says "nah, I'm athiest... I h8 mormonz lol. my parents r mormons." If you do not do this, you are in no way a true buddist. She says "yeh wel its hard 2 giv up all ur stuff. gota build up 2 it" Some members of my family became buddists. They gave up all their stuff cold turkey- after they flew to India. 2. She has some false idea in her head (probably) that wiccans can do magic. They cannot. Most athiests will agree with me on that. Besides that, Wiccans believe in two gods. So not only is she in no way a true buddist, she is not even a true wiccan or athiest. When I pointed that out, she said "I folo like my own religon and stuf. take like best from al 3." By the end of the 45 minute exchange, I was hoping she would say she was joining a newer version of the People's Temple (google it). But, instead, she logged out. Thats what I get for debating with a noob. >_>

I don't see what the hubbub about the economy is about. I don't care about inflation/deflation, because I'm not a merchant. I just wanna know if my stuff will sell, and for how much. There will always be people who want raw items. The economy will come back to normal, perhaps after jagex makes a 1 v 1 bounty hunter. :wink: A lot of people will quit, but it'll be the people who knew about the wilderness. There's gonna be a whole other generation of RS players, and they wont have ever experienced the wilderness before, so why would they quit? Personally I think jagex is safe.

Hello one and all! As you already know, this guide is about the wonderful Green Dragon! So, you're broke? Don't even have the money to buy lobbies? Dont wanna waste time fishing? Or maybe you're looking for a way to quickly make a little money. All it takes is 2k, some ok armour and a decent weapon. But Before we learn what and how we kill, the Table O' Contents! 1. What are we killing? 2. The setup 3. Requirements 4. What you do 5. A bit about macros 6. Credits/F.A.Q./Other great guides on related subjects So, what are we killing? Credit to tip.it for pic. So whats so great about it? Why its drops of course! It has 2 100% drops- Dragon bones and Green Dragonhide! Dragon bones sell for about 1800 gp ea, or give 72 pray xp when buried and 288 each when ectofungused. (252 when gilded altared) Then theres the Green Dragonhides! they sell for 1600 gp ea or so Plus, the item drops include Adamant full helms (use as armour) Half key (teeth + loop) Rune dagger (sometimes often, sometimes rare. I used to average 1 a trip, but havent gotten any for ages.) Various uncut gems Addy ore ------- Rune javelins ---------- Clue scroll level 3 Dragon spear ----- Nature runes --------- Rune spear Rune full helm ------- Bass ------------------ Nature talismans Not bad, eh? The Setup Here is the setup I use: You can replace d skirt and and granite plate with rune. PLUS! if you have high range (60+) You can wear red dragon hide as a top. This means you get hit less by their magical breath attack, plus it lowers the chance of a pker teleblocking you first time. Plus you keep the legs, plate and wep when you die! :thumbsup: Requirements! As you'll read later, we are using really low level food, so you might want a high hp. The levels I'd reccomend are 55 def 65 attack (green drags are all def) 60 str 60 hp But im a scaredy cat, you could manage with levels slightly below. But remember to bring more food! To kill effectively I would reccomend at LEAST 70 attack 65 defense 75 strength 65 hp Heres the stats i go with: 75 attack 82 strength 67 defense 77 hp And i can kill 25 in about half an hour. Finally! What you do! First off: this is an incredibly cheap way to kill them, but it works. It only takes about 10 mins to set up and get fishing, so you can get killing whenever is good for you. O.K. Here it is: Buy a fly fishing rod or a normal fishing rod. Buy feathers. They cost 10 gp ea from players, even less from stores. Now, go to edgy, get your gear on, get a 1 click teleport out, and head south to barbarian village. Now fish there. Heres how much fish i use at 93 combat and 77 hp (67 def LOL) Now, from there, head back up to edgy. Now, there should be a small house there with a range inside. Cook your fish there. If this is your first trip using this method, take a whole inventory of fish. From there you can adjust to suit your needs. Then head north west through wildy to the spot. Heres the route: (picture coming soon- something wrong with it ) A Bit About Macros Green dragon macros- one thing you never ever want to be confused with. why? Because there are more and more people killing them for kicks. So how do you not look like one? simple! wear something a macro wouldn't - quest items from quests involving more than combat skills can be one. Another way would to be chatty. Talk with others near you who are not macros. And if you see a white dot, run up and look. say hi or :), because you have nothing to fear- you have nothing to lose! One example of taking it too far would be wearing a obby cape or rune boots or something. If pkers spy one of those, you'll be dead before you can say "wth?! only 3 items!!". Wear a holiday item that can be gotten again if you want to. and if youre not afraid, 99 capes can also work. I hope this helps. Just remember- if youre teleblocked, turn on pray mage. I've never died yet killing green drags, and YES, I have been teleblocked many times. it works. (a little luck required). F.A.Q. (or Q's you might be wondering) Why did you write this? Well, I haven't seen this anywhere else, not even in Coza's "all ways included" guide. I thought it was a great source of experience and money, but how much greater it would be if you could save money and not be bothered to fish up great quantities- just fishing on spot. Why kill green drags in the "pit of death"? Simple: it's the spot closest to a fishing spot/major city/the wilderness trench. Plus its got trees nearby to shake off an attacker. It's a great spot, and if you're careful it can be great xp. Man, its so crowded!! Well theres only 3 drags. World hop around a bit (though i recomend hopping outside of wildy and walking there.) And other tips on how not to get pked? If you see someone your level who is not killing drags, and you see them "eating", TELE! they're potting up. You cannot see the edge of the pit, though pkers can see you- so be wary. More guides related to this subject coming soon. Have fun!

First off, if you read part of my guide, post a reply of constructive critisim, and/or a rating. The wilderness is a large unpredictable place. Do not take items you do not mind losing into it. And if you have a whip, dont fall for the alt+f4 trick (it closes your browser) or the 4 dragon b axe trick (loses your whip ) Do not blame me for any items lost. Blue dragons coming soon! WARNING! You must be P2P to kill any type of dragon! I also reccomend AT THE VERY MINIMAL 60 attack 65 strength 65 defense. otherwise you wont kill fast enough and will waste food. UPDATES: Macroers section added- how not to be mistaken as a macro. Links up shortly. Green Dragons! The best monster to kill for prayer experience, and my personal favourite monster to kill of all time. [hide=Pros and Cons]Green Drag pro's and cons (experience for non combat skills courtesy or tip.it) (experience for combat courtesy of runehq) PRO -3k each kill! -drops dragon bones! -drops green d hide! -Expect lots of mtih axes, spears, addy full helms rune daggers and other easily alchable items! -2,232 crafting xp a run (making bodies- 744 xp a run if making vambraces, 1,680 if making chaps) -3,456 prayer xp a run (if using ectofungus) - 4,788 xp given overall each trip to combat-related stats. CONS -Only found in wilderness- only ONE green dragon area found under lvl 20 wilderness. -Green dragons are PRIME PKING SPOTS. Never go there if skulled. -Home of the infamous "green dragon autoers". Pking these guys can be fun, but dangerous. Often people will pk you thinking you are a autoer. refer to later in the guide for info on how to prevent this.[/hide] [hide=Equipment] First off, green dragons are weak to stab attacks and range attacks. If you wish for a guide to ranging them, however, leave now. Untill i get 75 range or someone with 75+ volunteers to make that part of the guide, there will be no ranging green drags. Now, heres what i wear to a normal green dragon trip. Things never to forget- ring of life, dragon fire shield, armour, weapon, food, teleport. basically everything, lol. And here is inventory. Wondering why im using salmon & trout? why do I have fishing rod and feathers? all will be explained in the next section.[/hide] [hide=methods!!] First method: Barb. Fishing This was actually brought to my attention by a macroer :shock: here it is: instead of using lobbies, which cost 200 gp or so ea, use trout & salmon instead. Trout heals 7 whilst salmon heals 9. you could also use pike which heals 8, or even rainbow fish which heals 11. and instead of lobbies, you could fish bass, which heals an extra 1 hp point. This method is great for doing green dragons immediatly instead of sitting in a bank or fishing. heres the route your take. edgy bank->barb fishing spot -> evil dave's mom's house -> pit 'o death (lvl 13 wildy) sorry if it's a bit confusing. Heres the next one: Warning! you need GOOD FOOD for this. I'd say sharkies, or tuna potatoes, or monkfish. AT LEAST. okay, heres what you do. Replace the feathers and rod for extra food. Now, if you want MAD prayer xp, heres what to do. bring a ectophial in your inventory, along with 8 pots, 8 buckets and the rest good food. Now, you need to kill 8 green dragons, picking up only bones. the other food you can use if your hp starts falling. now make sure you have ok hp, then teleport to ectofungus. you probably saw this coming. now grind the bones, get some slime, and worship the ectofungus. TIP: you can worship the ecto fungus super fast! click it 8 times rapidly! once you've done that, get you ecto tokens from the priest, buy some undead chickens (leave enough to get into the city with if you havent done quest) now go to the bank, restock, tele edgy/ barb village/ varrock, then go again. This is even better than getting 24 bones and burying them normally.[/hide] [hide=Loot!] beastiary file courtesy tip.it-- if its boxed (sorry low quality boxing :P ) its common/ I've gotten it. [/hide] [hide=PKERS/Where to kill green drags]OK, well first off, many people will pk you because they think you are a macroer If they ever say "talk and u live" TALK 43+ prayer reccomended. If you have low prayer, but high enough combat to kill green dragons, I suggest reading a certain guide that I will have a link to shortly. Oh, and always keep your hp above at least 36! 36 is probably about as hard as ice barrage is going to hit. If you suddenly get the message "you cannot move" and cant see who attacked you, EAT! or if your hp is above 36, TELEPORT! Heres all the places. -far west, lvl 13 wildy A.K.A. "the pit of death" It is the only place where you can teleport out immediently. getting attacked can be nerve wracking :ohnoes: . All you have to do is stay calm. First step: teleport. if youre teleblocked, turn on prayer protect from magic, take off armour (unless they have dds and are right behind you) and RUN. -If you must choose a place over lvl 20 wildy, or you find the pit o' death too crowded, you can go here to the Graveyard. It has tons of green drags, so you will never have to wait for only 1 to respawn. This is a great spot for mage short bow rangers too, as there are tons o' trees. This is a pking hot spot! if you ever see someone with toast in their name, say hi toast! and he wont pk you ;) If someone uses anchient magicks, then turn pray mage on but dont take off armour, as they are probably mage/melee hybrids. run south, run through trees, try to get them caught on a fence, and dont forget to say stuff like "ow". or quick stuff thats easy to type. -for my next spot, your inventory changes. this, I am afraid, is the best place to do the ectophial runs, however it is bad for anything else. alternatively to the route shown on the map below, you could also chop a canoe (must be waka), walk east, kill some dragons, head to teleporter, teleport around untill you are in 20- wildy, then you can use the ectophial. -the last spot is dangerous, but not too dangerous. It is around 20 wilderness, I classify it as a 20 and up zone, though you may think differently. Theres usually a team of some sort set up there, though if there isnt, this becomes one of the best places ever. It has 4 dragons (1 more than the pit of death) and 1/3 the crowd of the pit of death. The only problem is it edges a little into lvl 21 wildy, and the fact that the walk is REALLY long. It'd be shorter just to walk from varrok. If someone teleblocks you, turn on pray mage and RUN. run south west, as there are bunches of trees there. this may take a little practice to master but will work eventually. really the choice you have to make is :uhh: safety money/xp [/hide] [hide=Macroers] Tips: Wear quest items. Macros usually wear rune chains, so wear a rune plate or granite plate. skill capes are also good. Macroers usually have around 60 combat, so get combat up. Just act like a normal player- thats a good start. Also have other skills on the high scores. Often people will assume you are macroing just by looking at you. If someone walks up to you, say hi. :-# <------ DON'T BE THAT GUY [/hide] Well, thats pretty much it. [hide=F.A.Q.- A.K.A Questions you havent asked but might be curious about.] Why a drag skirt? 1. Why risk drag legs? 2. same def bonus. 3. substitute it with rune legs Could I use a granite body instead? go right ahead. Infact I'd use granite body if I was using rune legs. Why an addy full helm? 1. its a fairly common drop from them 2. you want to only have 3-4 good items on you. What amount of trout and salmon should i bring with X attack, X strength and X defense? Take a full inventory, then find out about how many are needed with out it being "eat to make space" Will I be able to find either of your two routes on any other guide? Nope, not unless its a guide that has died and is on page 15, or 20 or something. I did searches, read all different green dragon guides I could, and even looked for other dragon killers doing the same thing. Havent seen anyone else- except for that one macroer. THANK YOU MACROER. what you do is you look along the top near where it says "message body" look to the right, there is a button called "hide" [hide]and you can hides stuff![/hide] :mrgreen: maybe i should add something... when you click "hide", type whatever it is you want to hide, then click hide again. And entrana takes up more inventory space as you need to make/ trade for your stuff, and it might take a while to find a seller selling exactly what you're looking for. Also, the only exit to the entrana dungeon puts you in level 32 wilderness -.- 3. thank you. It will be crowded by meleers in full dragon, but if youre quick enough you will be able to get one. ~this is my first guide, go easy on me~ ~!~IF YOU READ THIS, YOU MUST POST~!~ :twisted: Pwniez' guide to ranging/meleeing greater demons If you look up greater demons on the beastiary on tip.it, you'll find that they are found in only 5 places. We are assuming you want to get loot, and get arrows back if ranging. Here are the 5 places: Underground lava maze Demon ruins in the wilderness (level 45 wilderness!!) Entrana dungeon Ogre Enclave Brimhaven dungeon And here is why every single one is bad :XD: Underground lava maze- must run through monsters, entrance in wilderness, pretty sure cave is also a wildy area. Demon ruins- lvl 45 wildy-- need I say more? Entrana- unless you have a high crafting material, and good enough food for raw materials to take up so much space, no-go. only exit leads to lvl 32 wildy. Ogre enclave- the greater demons are in a cage. good for halliers with telegrab, bad for everyone else. Brimhaven dungeon- wild dogs will attack if ranging. very annoying, as meleers sometimes steal kills. no problem for anyone over level 126 though. :wink: The best one- brimhaven dungeon, the one I will discuss in this guide. So, without further adu, the table of contents! 1Brimhaven dungeon- supplies and how to get there 2Food and banking. 3xp and drops 4 meleeing at brimhaven dungeon 5reccomened levels for everything. Now, lets begin! Brimhaven- Supplies and how to get there. First off, supplies. If you are ranging, it would be good to have 50 or so ranging, but of course you can go as high as you want. this is what I usually wear on a normal trip there: Things to bring: MUST: axe, 5k, ranging armour and bows, about 2k arrows (iron and up) (i reccomend iron as it is easy to make. also: mage shortbows are probably the best.) NICE to have: spottier cape, lobster pot, ardy tele, ring of charos (a) Food and banking Now, you should bring your own lobbies, swordies or sharkies. Take the boat from ardy to brimhaven, or use glory ammy teleport. If you dont have any decent food, dont panick. go to brimhaven, go into the large resturaunt, trade alfonse the waitor to buy some food. Head south and a touch west to find the red exclamation point (it should be in jungle). pay saniboch 875 gp and enter. here is a map (courtesy of tip.it :wink: ) that should lead you through the dungeon. now there are multiple safespots for rangers, so I'll only go over a few. NOTE: the mushroom/fungus does NOT offer protection! safespot 1&2: run south, then east. you will find 1 last greater guarded by 1 wild dog. the wild dog hardly comes near this safe spot, and in 10 minutes will be un aggressive (along with demons!) here they are: Safe spot 3 There are a few more, look and find for yourself. xp and drops combat: 92 hitpoints: 87 totall xp: 462 loot! you want to pick up the coins so you have money to ride cart to bank in shilo village, to buy food from store, or go back to dungeon. Meleeing (includes hallying) Now, if its straight-out melee, then you could wear initiate or prosy-whachyamacallit (someone give name? :XD: ) and pray melee, teleport to city with chapel, recharge pray, glory tele to karamja, back to dungeon. You could always wear full dragon with a whip if you have a high combat level (this is quite popular). Hallying you can use the same safe spots as range, but there is a bit of an added risk. (hally cannot reach too far). remember: good food at all times. take the cart ride back to shilo village for food. (or buy/fish it) Oh and if you fish it: you can cook it without a tinderbox. Head to the dungeon. Dont go in, go a lil' north. When you see a load of tribemen, stop. there should be ever-burning fire there (not sure will check) requirements I reccomend the following: hallying: 80 attack 80 strength 70 defense melee: 90 attack 90 strength 75-80 defense Good armour! Range: at least 50 range. it seems a bit low, but it really is all you need. i can kill quite quickly at lvl 54 range. just make sure its a mage short bow. All these are to kill effectively. You can manage with lower stats but it may take a while. Coming soon: maging greater demons! I hope this guide helped. I will be getting more safespots up and such. if you do do a section on how to avoid pkers, make sure you metion that there is an area with green drags in lvl 19 wildy, however it is very small and you can see white dots but you cant see the pkers. I train there, and havent met a teleblocker yet :wink: also, if you must, take a teleport to house. it is so much safer, because if you die in a boxing ring or house from poisen, you can get your items back. just make sure you get to the ring! (have it close to teleporter) good guide. If i ever get range up I'll use this guide :roll:
