bickers070 Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 OK ive got a belkin router model F5D7230-4 only problem is it don't like runescape causes 2-3 min lag after logging in were i cant attack/use items like food/use NPCs i know its the router as i tested a direct connection to the modem and the problem don't happen then just wondering if its a setting on the router or is it worth me buying a brand new one if so can any1 give me some recommendation's on a decent router that works fine with runescape? metoo1000 Posted October 9, 2007 Share Posted October 9, 2007 Do you have any APN settings? For example: Trigger: The outbound port number issued by the Emule application. Incoming ports: When the trigger packet is detected, the inbound packets to the specified port numbers are allowed to pass through the firewall. Do you have virtual service settings on your router, the outbound port and the IP of the subnetwork should be referenced there as long as time constraints assigned to the service. Each router differs from the others but you should have those for sure to setup by accessing a web page the manufacturer should have told you on some document enclosed with the HW. Once correctly set those the TCP UDP test should pass. Never happened to me it failed. Also remember you have most likely to reboot the router when applying changes to the configuration. this could be some of the problems alot of people have had truble with this router because some ports that are not normaly blocked arewith this router may need to change the firewall settings.
