The joy that is my speakers+Headphones...

Well, you all know for a while i've been complaining about my headphones not working on certain things, not working at all, ect.

Anyways, i turned up the base few days ago, and i'm trying my headphones now and... they work. I was happy. But the game was loud so i thought "eh turn down speakers (headphones plugged into them) I get the speakers down to nothing, sound level doesn't change.

Hell, i turn OFF the speakers, yet my headphones which are conected to them, are still going well. So sure enough, i just adjusted the sound for counter strike (game i was playing) in the options.

Now, one reason i'm posting this is i find it strangly ironic, and kind of funny.

Second of all, i'm not realy complaining about this. The headphones work, which is awsome. My only problem now is that things are too loud with them. So now i need to get a solution so that my headphones arn't too loud, but my speakers are fne >.<

Yeah, kind of weird. All i'm realy currious about is that if :

A. is there a way that somehow i could change volume for my headphones only?

B. any idea on how to maybe get them with the speakers again? I'm thinking its the bass that is the key, but i'd like to at least control the volume with my speakers.

So if anyone could be of some help that would be awsome. Try and get this problem finished once and for all :o

I think thats about all you need to know. So yes, i'd love to get this fixed once and for all, because realy, It is starting to get on my nerves lol.

If you need new headphones, and are looking for like really good quality, go with BOSE. But you probably don't want a new pair :? I really don't know a solution to your problem :? I know that a lot of companies like BOSE don't use bass i think :?

Its not the headphones fault. Realy its a pc problem, because it does that with all my headphones.

atm when i play with headphones i just turn my pc sound down, and control it that way.

Try hooking the headphones up to the computer, not thru the speakers. I don't know why you would want to reroute them in the first place

well, I'm just going to keep them to the speakers anyways. mostly because if they were hooked up to the pc i'd have to control the volume through the pc sound thing anyways like i'm doing now. Its a little anoying having to lower down my volume on my pc at nights, but hell, my speakers are working with the headphones (for the most part) at least :D

Altec-Lansing makes headsets that have volume knobs on this little dealy on the wire.
