April 17, 200521 yr After a few months of using this new computer, I have finally decided to post my inconvience. On my old computer, when I played runescape, I could scroll the page up and down using the mouse's scroll roller thingy. ;) Now that I got a new computer, I have to click on the scroll bar or scroll arrows, which messes me up pking, and typing. idk if it is because of the computer, or maybe because ie on my old computer was outdated... any ideas?
April 17, 200521 yr Well first of all, it's either one of two things, drivers for your mouse, or the functionality on your browser. I of course always suggest FireFox, because pages load faster and it has a built in pop-up blocker. (See sig to download). However, if you indeed keep IE, I would check for a update. Click on Help > About Internet Explorer and look for the version number. The latest is 6.1.xxx. To download/update the latest version, click the below link. If it's still giving you problems, reply with the exact type of your mouse and check the software drivers. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/dow ... fault.mspx
April 17, 200521 yr Author Well, I use firefox for everything except for runescape because there is not sound for rs on firefox. Also it is the same mouse that I used with the old computer... Just checked for the version, and I have 6.0
April 17, 200521 yr It is very important that you get the latest! I suspect you may be missing other crucial windows updates - go to http://www.windowsupdates.com Where the bloody hell are you?
April 17, 200521 yr Author Fine then, you guys win. I'm gonna log off runescape, and download the updates for ie and firefox before I cause you guys to have a heart attack.
April 17, 200521 yr Author When I tried to download the ie update, it said a later update already exists, and it won't let me download it. Firefox update worked good tho 8)
April 17, 200521 yr You mean windows update? If you did windowsupdate first then that automatically gets you the latest IE anyway ;) Where the bloody hell are you?
