I got a poem for you guys:

"A Song of the Moon" (Poems of New York)

by Claude McKay

The moonlight breaks upon the city's domes,

and falls along cemented steel and stone,

upon the grayness of a million homes,

lugubrious in unchanging monotone.

Upon the clothes behind the tenement,

that hang like ghosts suspended from the lines,

Linking each flat, but to each indifferent,

Incongruous and strange the moonlight shines.

There is no magic from you presence here,

so moon, sad moon, tuck up your trailing robe,

whose silver seems antique and too severe

against the glow of one electric globe.

Go spill your beauty on the laughing faces

of happy flowers that bloom a thousand hues,

waiting on tiptoe on the wilding spaces,

To drink your wine mixed with sweet draughts of dew.

I had to find a poem for my english class so i found this. I thought it was very good and decided to share it here. Tell me what you think.

slightly modified "A Song of the Moon"

by Loomy

Moonlight breaks upon the Varrock's domes,

and falls upon two banks of stone,

upon the grayness of a thousands homes,

and centre's square in unchanging monotone.

And in clothes shop behind the tenement,

there hang ghosts suspended from the lines,

Looking each flat, but to each indifferent,

the moonlight through their bodies shines.

World full of magic, full of presence here,

so moon, sad moon, blessed your trailing robe,

whose silver seems antique and too severe

against the glow of one dragon globe.

Go spill your beauty on the laughing faces

of woad leaf flowers that bloom a thousand hues,

waiting on tiptoe on the wilding spaces,

to drink your zammy wine mixed with dew.
