To put it simply, I believe that there should be more stuff available around the Grand Exchange - it is Grand afterall! There should be more links from it to other areas around Runescape available to members with a certain quest completed. infact...

--Summary of Points--

  • 1: Varrock Armor Level 3 upgrade: Access to the Underground Railroad, to places such as Keldagrim, Falador, Rellekka, Uzer (where the golem is, I think?) and others

2: Varrock Armor Level 3 upgrade: 5% higher threshold of prices (i.e, an item would usually have a 10-to-20 gp threshold, so this would become 9-to-21gp due to 5% of 20 being 1)

3: Access to Bessen Bursen's Big Currency Engine: This allows you to convert Gp to Tokkul. You must, however, finish a quest for the TzHaar people in order to gain a steady flow of Tokkul to begin with!

More Sets: Perhaps a 3 item set system could be created, allowing you to sell 3 things at once!

4: Auction Option: Are you willing to accept higher or lower values than your initial asking price may say? If so, how much a difference? This is F2P as well!

5: Falador Branch: This is F2P too. You may put items up for sale in the Falador Banks, but may only cancel them at the main Exchange. You will of course also be given 2 confirmation screens in case you misclick

How, exactly?

Well, as most decent things are unlocked with quests I feel it should be the case here also, so here is one I call 'Brothers Bursen: When Business Calls'

Brothers Bursen, When Business Calls (Medium Sized quest, medium difficulty)

Intro: It is quite usual for friends and family members to argue or fight these days - with all the things there is to argue about - and this family is no exception. Well, actually, for a long time this wasn't the case, until a Bursen Brand Cannonball destroyed Brugsen Bursen's Brilliant Building Bazaar! What mischief is this?

Start: Talk to Brugsen Bursen at the Grand Exchange. You must have completed the tutorial and have sold 5 items to do so, or else he will think that you will not understand the situation he is in. In addition, you must have Level 1 Varrock Armour on you at that point

1. Brugsen will tell you the story of what happened and give you his Business Card. Keep hold of this and pay attention, for you will be told to find out what happened - who destroyed his Bazaar? Brugsen's story will say some details that point to one of 3 locations, so dependant on what is said, do Steps 2, 3, and 4 accordingly

2. If Brugsen told you that there was a cannonball flying from the north, from a place he calls 'Those Danged Badlands' then you will have the most annoying route: into the Bandit Camp. The fortunate thing is that a wall leading into the Grand Exchange had been knocked down by a boulder itself. Go through here and then to the Camp. You will find that there are not cannons or anythings, but there IS a giant bug which is sparkling. A cutscene will follow where you see some Revenants come up and be absorbed into the bug, and you gasp. The bug attacks and is level 60. When you defeat it, you gain an Ornate Object.

3: If Brugsen says that there was a bolt from the East you will find that the Barbarians could have done it - go to the halls of Gunther the Brave and you will see a scene of Gunther being killed by a Sparkling (like the bug) Shade. It will fall underground, so you will have to go outside and dig underground. The battle is much like against the Mole in Falador, but the Shade is level 35. When you defeat it using Strike Attacks, you will get an Obscured Shroud

4: If Brugsen says that there is magical energies coming from the South East, you will know immediately what has happened. You will be given a cut scene at the Stone Circle of a Arzinian being summoned there with great amounts of Mithril. You go there and find a warp rift there. When you enter it, you will find a hot portal like thing, and blue or black walls. Like in Between a Rock, you must mine this but unlike then, you must throw the ores into the portal. Eventually, a hand of fire will grasp you and pull you in. Fight the Level 50-150 Arzinian Avatar of Arcana and hen you defeat it, you will get a Forgotten Keyshard

5: Return to Brugsen and he will ask you where those items you gained (from the previous 3 steps) were found, and he will take them from you, and fit them back together in a strange way that you would never understand. Now he asks you to go to a Relic of Aqua Magic to throw the object into the surrounding sea. This means the Water Obelisk

6: When you throw it in, you will be thrown into the sea by tremors. Eventually you will find youself in Keldagrim, near a smashed.........Fountain? A Dwarf will come up and mutter about 'not you again' and stuff. Now you will be given the object Brugsen fixed and told to leave magic to those Chaos Things down in the tunnels. He then walks away and beckons to you.

7: You will be told to come, but to where? How about a dark cave with a warning sign. You will be pushed in, and told to redeem yourself, and to a dwarf this means pushing a cart train all the way up to Varrock - but for what reason?

Eventually the cart will make it to the Grand Exchange, and Bursen will tell you to push it back...to Falador

8: You will repeat half of the pushing, and take a turn right this time so that you end up in a new building (added in the update) which is known as the 'Society of Merchants'. This building is run by an older looking Brugsen Bursen named Felix Bergstrom. He will ask you why his Seecurity identify you as a Grand Exchange user, and after you mutter something, ask you to take a similar object to the object Bursen back to him

9: Bursen asks why you are back and gaps when suddenly 2 things come out of your inventory and form together - and the quest finishes

REWARDS: 5QP, 50K, use of all of the upgrades said in the summary, 4 additional grand exchange spaces based in Falador!

to be continued
