Hello my girlfriend is having problem playing runescape (took me a month to get her to touch it so ya i dont want it messing up now hehe) Her computer is the same as mine except she uses AOL.

As for the computer:

Its a dell

P4

1.8g ram (i think i cant get to it right now)

40gig harddrive

and i think she uses the Java that either AOL provides or which dell provides.

Now my pride was hurt when i couldnt figure out what to do do to the fact that AOL wil not let me use another web browser while using AOL interent service.

Any help or moral support is apprieted :P

Problem:

Ok well runescapes loads and she is able to enter the game but.... when she moves out of the loaded area her computer then stops and says "loading (something else)" and she is kicked off game saying it is trying to reconnect. As for firewalls she did have the AOL pop up blocker but i disabled it and still no help ill send her to this forum to see if she can explain it better to your gents.

Thanks for taking my problem into consideration :)

You know when u load the rs page wheen u are abt to key in ur userid and pazzword.. there are 2 flaming illustration beside?

Its a good indicator whether when u log into rs will the game lag and jerky..

So my question is when she is at that page is the flame kinda like jerky?

I don't see why it would be a browser ordeal, since one day it worked and the next it didn't. Do you know if she changed any settings at all, install anythign new, switch ISP's? anything?

I suggest scanning with Anti virus, sanning with adaware and spybot, as well as housecall. The links for all of them can be found in the stickies on this board. I also reccomend posting a HiJackThis log here
