Ape Atoll? Cannon

Featured Replies

Hey People, im currently training my range.. my account is sort of a tanked ranger..

65 range atm and 60 defence.

But i want to speed up my training.. i hear people use red chins at ape atoll.. could i use a cannon there?

My Prayer lvl is 43, so i can Protect Melee.

If its not ape atoll correct me if im wrong.. its the place with the monkeys and where people use red chins.

do i need to do a quest to get there?

Thanks! =]

cannons are horrible exp... and the chinchompa'ers usualy are 75 range + to get massive exp and the monkey zombies with a full invo of prayer pots

you should stick with fire giants or green drags for profit and exp at your level

why is a cannon so bad?

and im not giong to use chins because i wont be able to hit them with 75 range

cannons give 1/8 range exp so for every 8 hits u get 1xp

and the bals cost 180-200 and there are more of a waste (to train with) then chinchompas

FROM TIP IT RANGE GUIDE

When using a cannon, you will not receive hitpoints experience and the range experience obtained from it is only 1/2 of the experience obtained using regular ranging weapons. A list of some good training spots (multi-combat areas, of course) using this weapon is provided below:

umm.. yea. as you can see.. every 1 hit gives 2 xp.. :-k :-$

wha!!!

woah...

i thought it was 1/8

you should try it out and check for yourself

get ur range exp

then shoot 1 cannonball (make it hit more then 10)

and get range exp again

subtact both of them to get exp and divide by damage

if its 1/2 then i would train their i guess but it would be a bit expensive for you

how do you know how much money i have?

i might go there. no one seems to know much about it though

dunno i guess i just stereotyped a bit :P

i would actually get all ranging equipment, a cannon with about 1k balls and the rest filled with monks

and go to dagganoths under lighthouse

they are byfar the best exp a low level (even me) can ask for

i get about 1-1.5k exp a MINUTE there (melee) and they do not hit much at all
