Twelve hours left until my hsc results are displayed. For anyone out of Nsw Australia, Hsc results are the results of the final tests undertaken in the final year at school they are than used to gain access to Uni(collage).

 

 

 

I would kill to find out my results a day early like some of the students did today.

I remember getting mine over the net last year. Got a modest OP 8 (using the OP system for Queensland - 1 is freaking genious and 26 means you have the achievment aspirations of a corpse).

 

 

 

So yeah, I got what I needed to do the uni course I wanted, which I'm starting year 2 of next Feb I think.

 

 

 

Best of luck to anyone getting their HSC's/OP's or whatever else they call them.

I had my exams (im year 9) and i actully missed my geography test, i have really bad insomnia and takes ages for me to be tired it really sucks. :ohnoes: :cry:

Don't worry, nobody cares about year 9 because nothing you do in it matters.

 

 

 

Same goes for everything up to the HSC, which, in fact, isn't that big a deal itself. Once you get to uni, you'll find out that the people who studied hard to get into medicine or law courses were gimped because anyone with half a brain can always take liberal studies or arts and then transfer into those courses if they so wished.

My sister finds out tomorrow as well. I find out mine in 366 days (after I complete my HSC at the end of November next year). :wink:

yeah my local news reported that their has been several attempts at attacking the servers. Ive signed up for the sms notification but ill check it before i get the text message

I'll probably have to cushion my room so that when I get my results, I don't crack my skull when I bash my head against various items and walls.

Eeek. I'm most worried about my English Adv result. I wasn't happy with the AOS paper. :?

I agree. It wasn't as bad as I thought - sitting the exams in a familiar environment, in a familiar school uniform. Indeed, it wasn't a big deal. What I'm more worried now, however, is whether or not I took it as seriously as I should have.

 

 

 

Also, for the students who have scored above 90 in any of their subjects, names will be listed in the Sydney Morning Herald HSC results liftout tomorrow.

Our exam was held at a local hall, and we werent required to were uniform or anything. I found the exam really easy espically maths and chemistry however ive havent enjoyed the wait.

Good old HSC stress.

I was really disappointed with how I went for my Eng Adv Paper. For some reason on the two Eng Adv. assessments, I couldn't write as much as I usually do. /: I can only hope my rank salvages what little marks I have.

Now, when you get to uni, don't be shocked when the majority of your marks land around the 50-60% range.

Only got 94.2, needed around 95+ for my course. I should be okay though. I am getting my Ext. Eng. mark clerically rechecked; I can't seem to sit still without knowing whether it was added correctly or incorrectly [as I expected it to be significantly higher than that].

Yikes, I was really surprised with my marks. :shock: I didn't realise that the assessment marks would be scaled up as much as this! Not that I'm complaining. My highest were French Continuers and Business Studies - both 94. Lowest was Economics at 83, ouch.

 

 

 

Extremely happy with my UAI. I was hoping for 98, but 97 is enough to get me a place for B.Comm @ UNSW. To those who feared these 2 days and are still disappointed, my thoughts are with you. But it's not the end of the world - there are other ways to get into the course of your dreams. Best of luck!
