I was wondering, since I'm going to get 70 Defence, what is the best weapon? My stats:

Just i am from Lithuania (Litva RUS) is post sovietic republic :) and my hobby weapons then i good know this legendary riffle :)

Yep You need 60 attack, but you must remember effective melee training depends from your attack level and monster combat level on which you will plan to train it, is like you will hit good monsters with lower or equal combat level to your attack level - i think for you ideal is shades at morton village - they 40 combat, they agressive, and you can use salve amulet to get good damage bonuses on they - and maybye to make some profit using Splitbark armour minigame in corresponding themed world.

 

 

 

You can use then attack potions to hit better too, main problem is low attack here, what mean then you will hit not all the time, is like:

 

 

 

long has medium speed, a bit highter damage

 

scimitar has fast speed, medium damage

 

dagger has fastest speed, low damage

 

 

 

But when you hit not all time slow weapon is mistake not matter then this weapon have hight str bonus, then if you hit not all the time better get scimitar - optimal weapon ever, then you faster will do this..

 

 

 

My personal suggestion is to get monsters with combat level lower at least 10-15 levels then your attack level, then you will train effective, for example if i decide train attack (i dont do this i just train slayer when i train combat, but if i decide) i will get monsters like 50-70 combat level for it to hit and kill they good and fast.. whatever you can count your exp/h and compare results with diferent weapons.
