Domain not resolving to ip without www prefix

Featured Replies

Okay, so on a dedicated server I just set up, I configured it for the domain, and cpanel's whm did it's nice little thing and automatically created my dns zone file. However, if I try to access the domain, it won't work unless I type the www prefix. By not working, I mean it displays the cpanel success page instead of the content. It also displays that same page by accessing the ip address and 404's on reqests to other pages that I've ftp'd and can access with the www prefix.

This is what the dns zone that cpanel set up looks like:

I've never set up a dedicated server before, so I'm surprised I made it this far. If no one has an idea of how to fix this, could you reccomend a forum/pace that does =)

Which server? My guess is Apache, but I've never gotten any server to work...

Otherwise, Id on't really know what to do.

Hmm, odd enough, I just recompliled apache down to 1.3.37 (manually, I don't know if cpanel did something when I used it to upgrade) and it works fine :-k

Ah well, so long as it works =)
