December 28, 200718 yr Okay I have a question. I'm a merchant in the steel bar business(look at my sig). I've put posts on this forum (don't yell at me here), Sals and Zybez, the big three fansites. I've been paying the most on all three forums, I've had the posts up for over a month and yet I'm still not trading a lot... Anyone want to help me out and explain my lack of smelters..? One of my good friends said it's because of the 3k a trade limit, but I still don't get it...
December 28, 200718 yr because smelters make more money selling the bars in forums I agree. Plus people get tired of making other people richer. And you can make them into cballs for more money and xp. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
December 28, 200718 yr Author because smelters make more money selling the bars in forums If you mean RSOF, there is nearly no hope selling very high... Anyways, I'm trading a ridiciousily low 1k-2k bars a day, gee.... I know G.E made it easier, but still.
December 28, 200718 yr The GE has made it too easy to sell items. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
December 28, 200718 yr Author As you can see the minimum price for steel bars is 508. Compare that to the measley 120ea you are previding. Your buyers would have to be morons to sell to you when they can easily sell to GE. No offense to your sellers. #-o If you read my topic, I trade 110-120 gp per bar and 2 coal and 1 iron... I've seen Magics and Nuclear employ this merchanting technique for months. I fail to see why it's starting to collapse now, when it was doing fine during the G.E update... EDIT 1: Hm I'm thinking of either leaving the sector, or just expanding to new bars... I'm stuck here... EDIT 2: Now I see why so many people are screaming 'merching is dead'. I've been stuck in the safe room for too long.
December 28, 200718 yr Changed my previous post. But what I said still stands, people don't want to see other getting rich. They figure if you are doing it, they can do it too. Geaux Tigers ! Congrats on a great year !
December 28, 200718 yr well there are alot of "copy cat" business to so they make the same business but with better benifits so either expand to get more people, or raise your prices to make a smaller profit but get more people
