Possibly coming back?

Hahahaha! Yes, I am such a loser, that after 1 week, I'm already having second thoughts about this.

 

 

 

I've realized that the only problem here, is me, and not Runescape itself. If I want to have more of a social life, then I need to spend less time on this game, and get out there, and I can do that. I can manage myself well enough to focus on other things, aside from Runescape.

 

 

 

I will be playing less, for sure, but I will be playing still, as well as living the social life that I want, and being with my friends. Everything will go before Runescape, but Runescape will still be there. I think this is the most sensible decision, because over the course of this week I've realized that I'm just filling the gap of time that I play Runescape with playing different video games, and looking at these forums. With control and moderation, I think I'll be able to handle playing this game, and everything else; and if not, then I'll really have to quit, but until then...

 

 

 

I'M BACK!

 

 

 

I've copied this many times, and I'm going to do it again. This is the original post on my blog that I made right before it was locked:

 

 

 

"Hey this is Ben... I'm sorry to announce the closing of this blog. It's mainly for personal reasons that I won't go into, but I feel it's for the best. I'm trying to ease myself away from this game that's taken away some important things in my life. I'm sorry for the awful mood of this post, but there's no way I can lighten this up. I'm going to try and go away for a while, and quit this game. This may mean never completing my goal of 99 Range, but oh well, there are many more important things than a silly number and cape (I shouldn't say that, I still respect both of them). I want to apologize to anyone I might let down with this post, but it's something that I've got to do for myself.

 

 

 

Tonight from about 11:00 PM to 3:00 AM I had a very long conversation with an old friend that hasn't been on much anymore, but I know outside of this forum and this game. I won't mention his name due to personal information I might reveal, but rest assured he is a great friend. I learned recently he is now in a relationship that knocked me off of my feet basically. Suddenly I began panicking and having a pseudo-mid-life crisis during highschool, freaking out about what I've missed, and it made me come to realize that it's time to end this before it really gets out of hand. I don't want to be that senior in high school who instead of accepting an invitation with friends, sits at his computer and plays a video game. I don't want to see myself there, and now I'm beginning to. I'd make a list for the great friends that have been with me along the way during my tenure in this game, but that list would be too long and drawn out to have any personal significance. So those who I've hung out with and talked with, and have been friends to me during hard times and good times, you know who you are, and I thank you for your support and love as I've progressed through this game. Know that I appreciate what you've done for me, and that I'll never forget our experiences.

So there you go, I've gone and quit. I don't think I'll be gone forever, but I'll be gone long enough for most of the people here at tipit, and for that matter on my friends list, to forget who I am. I'll still pay regular attention on my clan forums, and sometimes tip it when I have the chance, but this really is a sudden and abrupt quitting.

 

 

 

Most of you who posted on/had see my "Rate This!" thread never would have guessed that this was coming. I did play for fun, and it was fun, but the balance between this game and my life outside of it was beginning to become lopsided. I had to take a break, no, I had to quit. So that's just what I've done. I think I mentioned that I wouldn't make a list in the copied post above, and that's true, it would be informal and would lack sincerety-- I'll say it again: Those of you know who you are, and know that I love you, and care about you, and that I'll never forget our times together... Ever...

 

 

 

So here is my final outfit, and stats. I regret that I won't get to start Summoning at all, but that's just luck. Quitting the day before a new skill comes out... Oh well. I sold all of my stuff (which the Grand Exchange just happened to lower in price right before I sold it), and I bought a Green H'Ween mask for posterity-- or for me, probably. I bought it just in case I come back and want to play, but I need money. Maybe when I come back it will be worth 50M? Maybe 100M? Maybe all the good armor and weapons will have gone down 5M-10M? But who knows? That time is a very long time into the future from now, and I most likely won't be seeing it. Without further adieu, here are my stats, and outfit:

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good reason to quit too... And I know 99 Range is awesome, which was why I was going for it, and I'm upset that I won't be able to complete that goal, but this move is for the best.

I'll miss you so much... It was such fun to dodge your chat now and again (hehehe). It's really, really hard to leave this so abruptly, and I'm having a very hard time staying away from this forum... I guess I just need to ease myself away...
