I believe it's 1.333 xp per hit on controlled. Could be wrong though.

 

 

 

And if I remember correctly whip does not have a strength option.

No you get 3.999 exp, approximately. Much of a difference, doesn't seem like it, but it adds up over time. Especially if over along time. But do as you wish. Its your character. Not disagreeing.

 

 

 

But the above is right 4hp for fighting attack, strength or defense, and 1.333 per each when controlled.

Use whip with controlled option but train slayer aswell.
