OR you could look at it like this: they allowed us to obtain charms prior to being given out all the 'best' familiars to train on!

 

 

 

The next update of critters in February might give us better monsters to train on but you have the choice now to either train using the familiars available, or wait n see what Feb brings :)

I agree with danq on this one. The thing that makes this skill slow is the charm gathering.. the actual pouch making itself is pretty fast for exp.. if they released the charms early then the people that hoarded could just power to 99 and we'd be seeing people with 99 in 9 days like what happened with hunter.
