The new low of rape

It's sick, but there's no 'degree' of rape. All cases of rape are low. To say this is a new low implies the other cases are somehow not as bad.

If the common argument is retribution, then this doesn't warrent the death penalty. No one's been killed. In all honesty, they'd experience more hardship from their in-mates when they know why they're in there than any form of exucution ever would. Rapists are treat with absolutely no respect in jails...
