My Guide To F2P and P2P Woodcutting This is my first guide, so if it isnt great, suggest something to make it better. [hide=1-15 The Normal Trees]Well, there isnt much choice here[hide=F2P] So get to this area and use your bronze axe, from tutorial island and cut down the huge amount of trees here Bank your logs in Draynor, 19 Gp Each in the G-E, Burn them (For a few firemaking levels) or Fletch them in to arrow shafts Pros: A lot of trees Cons: Jail Guards, they might stray into your banking route, and may damage you Closest Bank: Draynor Village There is also another spot that you can woodcut at. Its north of Falador in this location This place is good as there are a decent amount of trees, and not many people are here Pros: Not many people Cons: Further from bank Closest Bank: West Falador[/hide] [hide=P2P]There are a few good spots in the members world too. This is south of seers, not that great of a location. But consider using it, if your normal location is crowded. Pros: Lots of trees Cons: A bit far from the bank Closest Bank: Seers Then there are the Achey trees, the give you the same amount of exp as normal trees but no-one cuts them, they are south of Castle Wars, in this location Pros: No-one there Cons: Big Chompy Bird Hunting Started (Needs Confirmation) Closest Bank: Castle Wars[/hide] When you advance to 6 Woodcutting consider buying a Steel Axe from Bobs, or off the G-E [/hide] [hide=15-30 The Oaks]Congratulations! Your 15 Woodcutting! What to cut now? You ask, Oaks of course! [hide=F2P] There arent many places to cut Oaks, but heres one. This one has only got two trees. Its Behind the Lumbridge General Store and all the bots used to train here : ) Pros: Not many people Cons: Far From Bank, better to General Store the logs Closest Bank: Lumbridge top floor[/hide] [hide=P2P]There are some Oaks east of Catherby, around here Pros: Close To Bank Cons: A lot of people WC here Closest Bank: Catherby Castle Wars, there are a fair few oaks here, on the little island across form the Castle Wars Lobby Pros: Often, theres no-one here Cons: NONE Closest Bank: Castle Wars (OMG)[/hide] When you reach 21 Woodcutting, Buy A Mithril Axe if you want.[/hide] [hide=30-45 The Willows]Gratz on 30 Woodcutting, Willows are great exp, and there are many locations to cut them at. [hide=F2P]The most well known spot is Draynor. There are 5 trees here. Pros: Very close to the bank Cons: Crowded 23 Hours A Day, Dark Wizards can kill you if your lower than 14 Combat Closest Bank: Draynor If that location is crowded, walk a bit further towards the bar in Port Sarim, there are 4 trees here, and the bank isn't that far away Pros: No-one trains here Cons: Further to bank Closest Bank: Draynor If you don't mind not banking logs, go to this location Pros: No-one here Cons: No Banking Closest Bank: Falador, Sell in the general store instead[/hide] [hide=P2P]This next location is often said to be the BEST spot to train Its at the Barbarian Outpost, The green dot represents the Deposit Box Pros: Very, Very close bank Cons: Can't see your bank Closest Bank: Inside, the deposit box This location is pretty god as well, although it can get a bit crowded at times Pros: Close to bank Cons: Often crowded Closest Bank: Seers[/hide] When you reach 31 Woodcutting, buy an Adamant Axe[/hide] [hide=45-60 The Maples]45 Woodcutting! Congratulations! I'm going to show you the best spots to cut maples. [hide=F2P]Although Maples are Non-Member, there are NO places in the free world to cut them -.-[/hide] [hide=P2P]In the Seers area is the only good place to cut maples, there are 3 here. Pros: 3, within walking distance to each other Cons: people think its the only spot, so, its crowded Closest Bank: Seers North of Seers, there is a lot more trees. Pros: ALOT of trees Cons: Further from bank Closest Bank: Seers[/hide] At 41 Woodcutting, BUY! a rune woodcutting axe.[/hide] [hide=60-75 The Yews]Now that your 60 Woodcutting (Gratz) You want to cut yews? Right? Here are the best spots to cut them [hide=F2P]Edgeville, simple as that, heres where Pros: Very close to a bank Cons: Crowded, its such a great place Closest Bank: Edgeville Theres also Falador, where all the bots trained Pros: Less crowded than Edgey Cons: Long walk to bank Closest Bank: Falador And, lastly, Varrock Palace Pros: Close to bank, and G-E Cons: Can get crowded Closest Bank: G-E[/hide] [hide=P2P]In P2P, there are a lot more locations, firstly Seers Pros: Close to Bank Cons: Can get crowded Closest Bank: Seers Then there is south of the Beehives, and the Flax. Pros: 7 Trees Cons: Crowded Closest Bank: Catherby[/hide] If you have the money, buy a Dragon Woodcutting Axe at 61 Woodcutting. It increases your speed, and looks cool![/hide] [hide=75-99 The Magics]75 Woodcutting, Members, Magic Trees [hide=P2P]The first places are here, near the Sorcerers Tower and the Ranging Guild Pros: Magic Trees! Cons: These are the most well-known, causing crowded-ness Closest Bank: Unknown Lleyta has some Magic trees to offer Pros: Magic Trees! Cons: Regicide Required to Get There, Mournings End Part 1 Started To Bank, 56 Agility Needed Closest Bank: Lleyta if MEP1 started, Ardougne if you havent started. There are two at the Mage Training Arena Pros: Never anyone here Cons Only two Closest Bank: Duel Arena Chests[/hide] Woodcutting Magics is very slow, and isn't recommended until about 80+ [/hide] OTHER OPTIONS [hide=35-Your Goal The Teaks]Teaks are another option, once you reach 35 Woodcutting you can cut them, they are as quick to cut as willows, and give 85 Exp Each. They are in very annoying locations, so banking isn't recommended. (Drop them) South Of Castle Wars Pros: ... Cons: One Single Tree Closest Bank: Castle Wars Hardwood Grove In Tai Bwo Wannai Pros: About 5 Here Cons: 100 Trading Stick To Enter Closest Bank: Shilo Village Mos Le' Harmless Island Pros: No-one here Cons: Have to pass through a dungeon full of Cave Horrors to get here Closest Bank: Mos Le' Harmless[/hide] [hide=58-Your Goal The Eucalyptus]Eucalyptus aren't a very good way of training, as they are surrounded by Ogres and wolves, but ill put them here anyway Pros: ... Cons: As A First Resort required to bank (confirmation needed) Closest Bank: Oo'glog[/hide] OTHER STUFF [hide=Useful Tools For The Woodcutter]Axes are the most important thing a woodcutter can own (Wow) Here is a table, naming and showing the level required There is also the "Lumberjack Set" Which, although ive never had one, apparently it boosts the exp. If your a Fletcher/Firemaker, you'll need a Tinderbox and a Knife [/hide] [hide=Other Woodcutting Info]There are some Random events that happen only when you're woodcutting, these are The Birds Nest, Ents and the occasional Tree Spirit. Birds Nest: A birds nest drops to the ground pick it up, and search it. It may contain Un-enchanted Jewellery, Tree Seeds or Summoning eggs. The eggs you can get will be Green (Guthix Raptor), Blue (Saradomin Owl), Red (Zamorak Hawk) Or they may be A 'Ravens Egg'. Take these eggs to the petshop and incubate them for the respected birds.(Bank the nests themselves, as they are worth 3-4k crushed) Ents: These guys look like your tree is dancing, WALK AWAY and stop cutting the tree, or otherwise, your axe will break. Tree Spirits: A tree spirit appears and starts to attack, run away or fight them, they can drop axes (not dragon) Runes, and seeds.[/hide] Thats my guide on Woodcutting in F2P and P2P. I hope it helps you. I will add new tree locations if i find any.
