29/07/08 - Changed to open straight to world 99

Tested in Windows and Linux with Firefox 3.

In Firefox create a new bookmark (I added mine to the bookmarks toolbar folder), and for the url enter:

javascript:open("http://world99.runescape.com/p0,g1","","width=780,height=542,location=no,resizeable=yes,scrollbars=yes,status=no,dependent=no");close();

(height will need changing for F2P to allow space for the advert)

Now when you click your bookmark it loads runescape in a small firefox window with no toolbars. You can close the main Firefox window afterwards if you want and the popup will stay open.

Optional: Removing the location and status bars

By default Firefox 3 does not allow the location or status bars to be removed. You can change this default behaviour if you wish:

Type in the location bar "about:config" and then change the following preferences to false:

dom.disable_window_open_feature.location

dom.disable_window_open_feature.status

This is especially useful for Linux users as the Official client does not work in Linux. (Works on Ubuntu 8.04 but should work with any distro with Firefox 3 installed).

Cool, thanks for this I'll be sure to use it :D Its great for watching movies while mining ::'
