Step 1) Make sure you meet the requirements to play RS in HD. Read this post http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?f=45&t=746171 lots of useful info on this post.

 

 

 

Step 2) Update Java. RS is a Java based game so this should be your next priority. Go to control panel, you should see the Java icon, double click that, second tab from the left should give you the update options.

 

 

 

Step 3) Update your drivers next. I took these links from Jagex's FAQ so they should be ok.

Step 4) Realise how many people are trying to do the same as you are, their servers are going to be extremely busy just now and for the next few days so the problem is possibly at their end.

 

 

 

Step 5) Remember It's a Beta so there are bound to be bugs so not neccessarily a fault with your PC.

Dammit, I'm trying to update my Java. I'm in the same area as described above. I click on the Update button. I get a bubble that tells me a new update is ready to install. Also a box appears that say Install. I click the Install button and nothing happens. I have Java 6 Standard. Can anyone help!!! THIS IS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!
