I have gotten to the part of the quest where I have the treasure map and I'm on the island. However, whenever I pace off the steps south, east, north, ect. I dig where it ends and nothing happens. Can post a pic or something describe to me the location so that I can get on with the quest?

Instead of walking the steps manually just stand west of the statue and right click the map. There should be a "follow directions" option or something.

I remember tip.it's thing was off by 1 or 2 steps...i don't know why :? just try following the actual map as Lord said, and if you still didn't reach the treasure by the end of the steps, just dig around the area you end up in.
