Internet Connection Problems through Wireless

Recommended Posts

At the moment, I am pretty stuck on how to ix my internet. I use a Belkin Wireless G router connected via cables to a main PC (what I'm using now, internet is fine on this) the signal is then sent to my PC wirelessly and that's where the problems start. Previously, the wireless receiver said that it had good signal strength, good link quality but it could still not connect to network. I tried the usual methods of fixing this problem such as unplugging and replugging it in and trying to reconnect etc. In the end, I did a system restore and my internet came back. It only lasted a day though before cutting out again. At the moment, I am doing another system restore but I don't think this is a long term solution and I need help with a fix. As a system restore fixed my internet, I think that it is a software problem rather than a broken router/ receiver. Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this problem?

What wireless card are you using?

What encryption does the wireless have?

I've had some issues with wireless, mainly all down to flaky encryption support.

It's a Belkin54g router and I use a USB plugin to receive the signal. The encryption is 64 bits.
