Please note that when collecting the skull and bones for the altar, player does not have to return to the real realm to collect one. A skull spawns a little to the east of the farm in the Spirit's realm.

 

 

 

No pic available, this particular part of the Spirit's realm is no longer accessable after completion of the quest.

 

 

 

 

 

[EDIT] It can also be noted, if you summon your familiar too far away from the disc, or it looks like the Beast is going to devour your summon before you are ready, hitting the "Call Familiar" button multiple times prevents the Beast from getting your familiar.
