Tomale
Tip.it lists them to be fully grown in 14.6 hrs. At the Taverly fruit tree patch, it's been 24 hours and it's still not fully grown. This has happened two days in a row after I've completed the Spirit of Summer quest. Is this a bug?
Sy_Accursed
No if you check again tip.it lists AVERAGE growth times farming items vary greatly in the time taken to grow, they rarely are faster than the average but on occasion they will take longer, sometimes alot longer Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Tomale
I understand that it's an average but this is an outlier. If I have a tree that grew in 24 hours, than I must have another tree that grows in 4 hours to balance the average. No fruit tree grows in 4 hours. Also, this has never happened to me before Spirit of Summer. No fruit tree has ever taken more than 16 hours to grow. At the time of this writing, 25 hours into planting, the tree only has 1 out of 6 papaya.
Judobreaker
Did you use supercompost...? You probably have but I'll still ask, sounds like something I would forget now and then. :P My guide: Ring of Wealth explained 8 Dragon Boots (885 kills, 1/111, with RoW)
Tomale
I've never used supercompost on trees because I bribe the farmers. No fruit tree has ever taken more than 16 hours to grow even without supercompost.
Sy_Accursed
Your view of averages is appalling. You do not need equal and opposites to make an average If you do 500 trials and get like 300 at 14 hours, 180 at 16 hours and 20 at 24 hours your average will be 15.12 An average isn't necessarily in the middle its near the most common result so as i stated tip.it gives the average time, but they can take ALOT longer I mean hell if you did 25 trials with 24 results at 14 hours and 1 at 24 hours u'd have an average of 14.4 hours Yes you've had it twice in a row but whatever you wanna say it comes down to the simple and pure fact farming plants do have an average growth time - which tends to be the fastest time possible, but it CAN take ALOT longer as it has done for you. Seraphyna
The average growth time is given because the tree will take longer to grow if at any point(s) it becomes diseased. Yes, this can happen even if you pay the gardeners, your tree just won't die. That's why people often recommend using (super)compost and enchanted secateurs even if you pay the gardeners.
