Help Needed for Between a Rock Quest

Hi all!

 

 

 

I am having trouble with the Between a Rock... Quest. I seem to not be able to kill the demom in less than 8 eight minutes (with mining the gold as well..)

 

 

 

I have tried 6 and 8 ores in backpack, but to get the 8 ores I spent an extra 2 minutes mining (I'm lvl 57 mining)...

 

 

 

What is the best equip for this? My current equip is:

 

 

 

Gold Helm (nec)

 

Ammy of Glory (also tried Ammy of Defence)

 

Varrock armour lvl 1

 

studded legs

 

karmaja gloves

 

steel boots

 

mind shield

 

Addy long sword

 

 

 

have ring of recoil

 

 

 

My stats are:

 

 

 

51 Hits, Attack, Defence, & Strength

 

 

 

57 Mining

 

 

 

41 Prayer

 

 

 

33 Ranged

 

 

 

39 Magic (lacks 140-ish being lvl 40)

 

 

 

22 Summoning

I would recommend at least a rune scimitar for that monster

I beat him! Of course, I did this without rune armour and wepons...How I did it I don't know, all I know is that I ran out of time with maybe one hitpiont left on him. I restocked and went back (with a rune scimitar and kiteshield) and then when I talked tothe dwarf, he gave me the rewards for the quest. Amazing!
