The oldest Screen Saver in town

Featured Replies

Thought I would share this one with you all....

For those of you who remember the days of Windows 3.11, well there was a free screen saver released by a company called Sierra called "Screen Antics". I had totally forgotten about this gem and OMG someone has ported it so it runs on XP and Vista!

So what is Screen Antics?

Also known as Johnny Castaway, It's a little guy on a desert island, and his life day to day. He gets up to all sorts of things, even falls in love with a mermaid and goes water skiing with a shark. It will take you forever to see everything that happens to him as he builds the raft on the side of the island. Here's a snapshot of it in action:

And here's the Screen Antics Webpage: LINK.

Have fun,

Clare.

downlaoded it!

well, best screensaver ever!!

wow.. i really hate those xp ballons who keep bouncing up and down .. one disadvantage of this screensaver tho it changes your resolution. but overall 10/10

Haha wow i remember that one. But for me the ultimate old-school screensaver is Afterdark's coffee shop one on the mac. From the same program that had the flying toasters.

But still, Screen Antics has me gripped after all these years, I just saw Johnny eating boots :)
