Is it possible to replace or repair this part of the headphones if it is damaged (the tip snapped off)

If not, could anyone please suggest a good pair of headphones (they're primarily for listening to music) that are comfortable and not too expensive?

Yep, very easy, all you need is a replacement jack socket and a soldering iron! You can get the jack socket from places like Radio Spares, Maplins or CPC.
