Computer Requirements to run three monitors

Featured Replies

What kind of computer requirements would there be to run three monitors at once. I dont know if it matters but they would be around 24" and be running charts and graphs in real-time having to do with the stock market.

Well just make sure you have enough video outputs, including things like VGA or DVI (Go with DVI if you can). Then just plug em all in and you should be able to set up the monitor setup in control panel settings. Also, just make you hve basic hardware to be able to run it, such as a decent graphics card (as long as you aren't hard core gaming) to run the monitors, decent cpu, ram, etc.

Whoa! Are you talking about one thing across three monitors, or are you talking about three things on three different monitors?

To run one desktop over three, you just need a good graphics card. Matrox is what you need if you have the money. I use one to display movies and presentations over three projectors at the same time. You also might want to have a little but more system RAM. My laptop seems to lag sometimes when playing graphic heavy materials.

This topic is very similar to this topic. You could run 2 cards that have 2 ports on it then your could run a total of 4 monitors. I plan to get a third or a forth one soon i am currently on 2.
