I was hunting red chinchompa's, but I noticed something on my way to get there: a cave entrance!

Does someone have more information about it? Like: is it possible to enter the cave in some way?

Entrance to giant eagle's cave. After Eagle's Peak quest, you can catch an eagle to get there from Eagle's Peak and back.
