Psycho_Robot
I have iTunes version 8.0.0.35 running on Windows Vista. I wanted to get the Homestar Runner Podcast on my iPod but its not in the iTunes store for some reason, so I manually downloaded the episodes from this website and saved them on my computer. I then dragged the files from a windows explorer window into the iTunes window. They were imported into iTunes alright, but they are in 2 different categories of my library. Some of the episodes went into the Podcasts section of the library and some of them went into the Movies section of the library. [hide=The episodes in the movies category][/hide] [hide=The episodes in the podcasts cateogry][/hide] Does anyone know how I can move all the episodes of this podcast into one category? stevepole
Have you tried see if there is an option to switch it in the "get info". Or have you tried removing them then re-adding them? I personally am using the newest itunes on a mac so I'm sure my options might be a little different from yours but I have notice a fair amount of bugs in the current version of itunes. Psycho_Robot
I've edited the information in the "Get info" screen so that all the episodes have the same info (except for info unique to each episode, such as title) but they still aren't combining. I also tried deleting the episodes from my iTunes and re-adding them. When I did, the same episodes that went to the Movies category went there again. After some thought I think I know why this is happening. The Homestar Runner Podcast used to be available in the iTunes store, and you could subscribe to it for free. But after a while it disappeared from the iTunes store, and you could no longer subscribe to it. I think that the episodes that are in the Podcast category of my library are the episodes that were released during the time that they podcast was in the iTunes store, and the episodes in the Movies category are the episodes released after the podcast was removed from the store. I don't know if such information would be helpful in diagnosing a solution, but it can't hurt eh!
