You can do monkey madness without getting the experience, you just can't talk to one guy. Just to warn you, you might not be able to go back to ape atoll without getting the experience because the experience person is the one who takes you back. This is just a guess though, so you might be able to go back.

I have to say I dont think it matters if you have over 61 attack or not. Sure it looks worse than 60, but who cares?

you don't have to take the side quest xp to use dscim...because if you had to there would be no 1def char with dscim, seeing as the quest gives you the big chunk of xp in the 2 stats, and a smaller chunk of xp in the other to...so attk/str/def/hp ALL get xp...
