I just tested this:

 

After getting the broom enchanted by the Sorceress' Apprentice, it will teleport you to the Garden.

 

 

 

However, when you drink from the fountain it teleports you back to the Sorceress' Apprentice.

 

This is a free Al-karid teleport.

Thanks for the info, however I would think this information can be figured out by the user and doesn't need to be included in the guide. It isn't related to the quest, anyhow.
