Is the dragon fire shield all its hyped up to be or is it just another over priced thing in runescape?

 

 

 

 

 

And is it worth saving all that money up for it?

I have a DFS and i can assure you that worths to get 1, but you must afford it + a good gear.

 

 

 

The price is fair compared to 25m like old times :lol:

so rune defender would be the way to go?

For all sorts of training and slayer, yes I use rune defender as its better exp per hour and the extra defense of dfs isnt needed.

 

 

 

For all bosses I use SGS or ags if I melee it. It might be handy for arma or ranging bosses. But as a melee shield In my opinion its not worth even 3m, because defender is superior in 95% of situations.

It depends on how you use it.

 

 

 

Though I would agree that dfs is a bit overpriced, dfs is still useful against dragons' firebreath and, when fully charged, provides one of the best overall def bonus in the game.

Things it is good for:

 

Meleeing dragons

 

Ranging\maging in PVP or boss fights.

 

 

 

Things it is not good for:

 

Meleeing

 

Ranging\Maging when defence is not needed.
