Technically, you don't travel to the Dwarven Mines, but more of the Dwarven Mines Entrance. (As of Point 6 in the guide)

 

 

 

It would also be easier for the suggested items list:

 

 

 

To Dwarven Mines -> Combat Bracelet or Falador Teleport.

 

to be amended to

 

To Dwarven Mines -> Glory Amulet Teleport to Edgeville or Skull Sceptre Teleport to Stronghold of Security.

 

(Would be more direct, and also, Dwarven Mines doesn't exactly state where.)
